Spectrum Days is a small charity who provide people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and their families with specialist support within Worcestershire and the surrounding areas.
We work with the family to support and provide each member with a unique, fun and purposeful care package which meets their needs. Our experienced, well trained and fantastic staff work together to provide a fun, stimulating and safe service throughout the week. Hot Meals and Transport to and from our day centre are also part of the service if required.
A typical day at Spectrum Days involves members participating in a variety of local community trips such as farms, horse riding, hydrotherapy sessions and physical and sporting activities. At our well resourced accessible building, we also offer Sensory sessions, arts and crafts, music and much more. Therapies such as physio-therapy are built into the activities package.
We provide a service that is built around the individual which may also include Domiciliary Care, where staff support the members and their families in the home environment. This is a unique approach to service delivery.
It is important that we continue our work and develop the service to provide greater opportunities and support for people with profound disabilities. As a charity, we rely on help from donations, fundraising, volunteers and local organisations. Please take your time to find out more of what we do. Take a quick look at our video by clicking on the 'Adams Story' tab to see what Spectrum Days means to our members like Adam and his family.
As a charity, we fundraise for all of our equipment and improvements to the building. This includes Donations, Community Support, Applications to Trusts and National Organisations.
